Mus. 325: Canto; Mus. 326: Alto; Mus. 327: Tenore; Mus. 328: Quinto; Mus. 329: Sesto; Mus. 330: Basso.

Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Dowding at shelfmark N.3.5 as 'Harmonia Celeste 6. vol. Di divers. eccel. Musici à 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. voc. raccolta per Andrea Pevernage. Antw. 1589'.

Oblong format, 215 x 153 mm. Late C16th binding of limp vellum, stubs of pink ties on three sides, gilt edges; gold-tooled on upper and lower covers with part-names enclosed within horizontal rules, together with a central design of five cockle shells, and corner motifs of an acorn with two oak leaves. (For a related binding, see Mus. 332-4.) The shelfmark 'N.5.3' is written in ink on the front flyleaf of all six partbooks, evidently in error for 'N.3.5' (see above); these shelfmarks were subsequently altered to read 'M.4.3', although the change of shelving is not recorded in Dowding itself. Bookplate 2 in all six partbooks. C19th shelfmarks: I.4.37-42.

Microfilm: The printed music of Christ Church, Oxford, reel 15.
